Hire a Skip Bin for Trade and Construction Waste
Construction Mobile Skip Bins
The prices below are all-inclusive for trade and construction waste loads up to 1 tonne. This includes delivery, pick-up, 7 days hire, disposal up to 1 tonne, and GST.
- All our trailer skips share the same legal towing limit: 1500 kg maximum load.
- Bigger bins give you more space, not more weight capacity.
- If your load is over 1 tonne, the job is charged using base hire plus tipping by actual weight (using a weighbridge docket).
4m3 Mobile Skip Bin
- Designed for bricks, tiles, concrete and soil.
- Strict weight management for dense materials.
- Heavy waste can exceed 1 tonne quickly.
5m3 Mobile Skip Bin
- Ideal for timber, gyprock and mixed waste.
- Great volume without the masonry limits.
- Best when you are not loading large amounts of bricks, concrete, tiles or soil.
6m3 Mobile Skip Bin
- Best for light bulky waste and strip-outs.
- Ideal for packaging, timber off-cuts, gyprock and light mixed waste.
- This bin does not increase the legal weight limit (1500 kg max load).
Construction Waste Skips
Priced for building and renovation waste, site clean-ups and trade waste.
Trade, Construction and Building Waste Pricing Explained
Tier 1. Fixed price trade waste (up to 1 tonne)
For most light trade and renovation clean-ups, a fixed price applies as long as the total load stays at or under 1 tonne.
Fixed prices include:
- Delivery
- Pick-up
- 7 days hire
- GST
- Disposal up to 1 tonne
Fixed trade waste pricing:
- 4m³ trade waste skip: $660
- 5m³ trade waste skip: $770
- 6m³ trade waste skip: $880
This suits jobs like timber off-cuts, gyprock, light demolition, packaging, fittings, flooring, and mixed renovation waste without large amounts of masonry.
Tier 2. Heavy-load pricing (over 1 tonne)
If the weighbridge docket shows the load is over 1 tonne, the job is charged using heavy-load pricing.
Heavy-load pricing:
- $385 base hire
- Plus tipping fees charged by actual weight and material type
- Charged using the waste facility weighbridge docket
We can provide weighbridge dockets on request for full transparency.
What the $385 Base Rental Includes
The $385 base hire is the fixed rental for the trailer skip itself. It covers delivery to your site, pick-up once you’re finished, 7 full days hire, and GST.
Waste disposal is charged separately once the trailer is tipped at the waste facility. Disposal costs are based on the actual weight and material type recorded on the weighbridge. This is how we keep heavy loads priced fairly, without inflating everyone’s fixed rate.
We can provide weighbridge dockets on request.
Why We Use This Pricing Model
This approach protects customers on both ends:
- Light loads stay simple and predictable
- Heavy loads are charged accurately by weight
- No inflated flat rates “just in case”
- Legal towing limits are always respected
If your job turns out lighter than expected, you’re not overpaying.
If it’s heavier, the pricing adjusts fairly.

Weight Limits and Masonry Loads
All our trailer skips have a maximum legal load limit of 1500 kilograms.
Dense materials like bricks, concrete, tiles, soil and rubble add weight very quickly. Because of this:
- Masonry loads must be booked into the 4m³ trailer skip only.
- Masonry is capped at approximately 2m³ or under 1500 kg.
- Mixing heavy masonry into larger bins can exceed legal towing limits.
If your job involves heavier materials, call before booking so we can guide you to the right bin and loading limits.
How Tipping is Charged
Tipping fees are charged by the actual weight and material type of your load once the trailer is weighed at the waste facility.
Trade and construction materials reach higher weights quickly, which can increase disposal costs compared to household waste. Your total price is made up of:
- The fixed price (if the load is up to 1 tonne), or
- Base hire plus tipping by weight (if the load is over 1 tonne)
We supply weighbridge dockets on request so you can see the exact disposal weight.
What Counts as Trade & Construction Waste
Trade and construction waste includes materials from renovations, building sites and commercial works such as:
- Timber off-cuts
- Gyprock and plasterboard
- Building packaging
- Metal
- Carpet and flooring
- Joinery waste
- Bricks
- Tiles
- Concrete
- Rubble
- Site protection plastics
- Pallet waste
Mixed loads containing any trade materials may be charged at the applicable tipping rate required by disposal facilities.
Choosing the Right Bin Size
Choose your bin based on how much space you need. Weight capacity stays the same across all bins because every trailer has the same legal limit.
- 4m³ for masonry and heavy materials
- 5m³ for moderate renovation waste without masonry
- 6m³ for light bulky trade clear-outs and strip-outs
If you’re unsure what applies to your job, call Danny before booking. We’ll give you straight advice on bin size, likely weight, and the best-value option.
