What is included in the skip bin hire price?

All quoted prices include GST, delivery to your location, pick-up at the end of hire, up to 1,000 kilograms of waste and 7 days hire. No hidden fees for standard bookings within these limits.

What happens if my skip bin is overloaded?

If your load exceeds the included 1,000 kilograms, an overweight fee of $44 per 100 kilograms applies. The absolute maximum weight for all trailer skip bins is 1,500 kilograms — no skip can be loaded beyond this legal limit.

What if I need the skip bin for longer than 7 days?

The standard hire period is 7 days. If you need extra time, additional days are charged at $33 per day.

Are there extra charges for certain items?

Yes. Some items attract additional disposal fees: mattresses are $110 each, tyres are $77 each, paint tins are $33 each, and gas bottles are $33 each. These are charged per item on top of the hire price.

What items cannot go in the skip bin?

The following items are not accepted: chemicals, oils, fuel or liquids, paint, gas bottles, asbestos and car batteries. If prohibited items are found in the skip, additional handling and disposal charges may apply.

Does a larger skip bin mean I can load more weight?

No. All three skip bin sizes share the same maximum weight limit of 1,500 kilograms. Larger bins give you more volume, not more weight capacity.

Below are the most common pricing questions we get about our trailer skip hire in Sydney. These cover weight limits, time extensions, restricted items, and common extra fees.

What if I overload the skip?

Overload weight fee: $44 per 100 kg (or $440 per tonne).

This applies if your load exceeds the 1,000 kg included with your trailer skip hire.
Any weight over the allowance is charged in 100 kg increments.

Weighbridge dockets can be supplied on request.

Please note: the maximum weight limit for all trailer skip bins is 1,500 kg.

What if I need more time?

Your hire includes 7 full days as standard.

If you need extra time:

$33 per additional day

What can’t go in the skip bin?

For safety and disposal reasons, the following items are not accepted in our mobile skip bins:
